The Western Hotel

The 3 star Western Hotel is located in the heart of Galway City and offers the highest standard of accommodation. Consisting of three grand Georgian buildings, this family-run hotel combines old style with all modern comforts. Among the 40 rooms we have to offer are single, double, twin, family and triple rooms, as well as rooms with facilities to accommodate our wheelchairs for guest use. The Hotel Western Bar is a warm and welcoming place, traditional, friendly and famous for the largest open traditional Irish music sessions in Galway. Our hotel service offers an exciting selection of food. A wide selection of delicious dishes is available in the deli and snack menu with an A La Carte menu in the evenings. Our meals are prepared from fresh local ingredients. Western Suites are luxury suites with two bedrooms and accommodate up to 5 people. The suites are in the heart of Galway city, just a short walk from Eyre Square. Located at the back of the hotel up stairs, the Western Suites are designed to give you a home away from home during your stay in Galway, offering you a functional kitchen and lounge area, bathroom and two separate bedrooms. The suites are serviced daily. Western Hotel does not offer parking; however, there is a small underground car park that can be used during check-in. We advise all guests to first arrive at our car park to check in, use the lift to bring your luggage directly to your room and then park your car back in one of the city car parks. Guests viewing CityPoint Apartments are also requested to check-in at The Western Hotel. They will receive further instructions at reception.
